At St. Walter School, students receive sound, academic education geared toward the above-average student. The basic curriculum is enhanced with weekly instruction in music, physical education, computers, and Spanish in grades K- 8. Band, soccer, volleyball, basketball, Student Council and the Technology Club are examples of activities that further enrich the lives of the students.

        Students visit the recently expanded media center at least three times a week.  They utilize the computers and the library resources to complete projects and expand their skills.  In this way, technology becomes more strongly integrated the curriculum of the school. 

         Hot lunch for students is available daily. Extended day services are offered before school and after school every day.

        Families who are interested in enrolling students are invited to visit the school at any time.  Printed information about the school programs and requirements can be obtained at any visit.  Appointments to tour the building or to meet with the principal can be scheduled through the school office, 773-445-8850.

         Reminders

·    Fee Day for all enrolled families will be Wednesday, August 18 from 9:00AM until 11:30AM and from 7:00PM until 8:00 PM in Peterson Hall.

·        A Back-to-School Swim Party will be held August 20 at 8:30 PM at Memorial Park Pool in Blue Island.

·   Classes resume Monday, August 30 at 8:00 AM.  Dismissal is at 11:00 AM.
