Fundraising

The St. Walter Endowment Fund was established seven years ago to create a perpetual fundraising vehicle for the school and to help the school offset spiraling expenses of educating our children. The objective is to build up a sufficient principle so the interest can be used as a significant part of annual budgets for years to come. Currently, we have raised over $320,000, which is earning interest in funds invested with the Archdiocese. For the past 2 years, the Endowment Fund contributed $10,000 in earnings toward the school budget. The Endowment Committee hosts two major fundraising events: a Super Bowl party in January and a Silent Auction/Dinner Dance in June.

The Manna Program is a fundraising/tuition credit program available to all families through the purchase of "gift certificates" for many retail stores. "Manna" is a large organization that purchases blocks of store certificates at face value and then sell them to schools. The discount comes from the retailers. After selling the certificates at face value, the school earns a profit and you earn fundraising credit! You can order "Manna" through school, the rectory, or at cash-carry times as advertised.

The Market Day program offers restaurant-quality food that is portioned and easy to use. When you purchase Market Day, 10% of your purchase goes to St. Walter. Orders can be sent though the school, the rectory, or placed via the Internet at www.marketday.com.
