· The interviewer asks at least five questions of the author, the author gives detailed answers that help the audience learn a little more about him/her, the questions come from facts learned while researching about the author, the group is organized with note cards or memorized answered.

*****These are the key points that the teacher is looking for to evaluate and grade. The group or individual may also have included extra credit projects. Groups that did not put work into their own words will be judged accordingly. Timely behavior does affect the final grade.

Requirements:

1. Everyone in the group chooses one book by the author to read and do a creative book report on together. (List of creative book report choices below.) This can be done outside of school or materials brought to school to complete.

2. Each individual student will continue to read books written by that author.

3. After a book is read, the student will take an accelerated reader test on the book.

4. The group will complete a presentation project on the author. There are two main parts – display board and interview. There is no written report.

5. The display board can be tag board or science fair board - if they need more space. The items included on display board are listed on assessment sheet. This will be worked on and completed in class.

6. The interview will consist of information from the top 10 or more interesting facts that they have learned about their author. One of the students will act as the author, and the other student(s) will act as the interviewer. I do want the interview rough draft written out or on note cards.
