• Love, respect, kindness, organization skills, personal responsibility, hard work and cooperation are key ingredients for a successful year in fourth grade.
• Students are expected to know their prayers and to practice their faith in Jesus to build a strong spiritual life.
• Students are to learn how to balance daily homework with long-term assignments, such as, book reports, writing assignments, Science and Social Studies projects and research reports.
• Each student must accept responsibility for the completion of all assignments. Long-term projects take time and effort, so they should be started promptly.
• I expect the students to have all their school supplies by the end of the first week of school. All hard cover books must be covered. (Book socks are available in the office.)
• Discipline policy and classroom procedures will be discussed in detail with the fourth graders. Parents will receive a copy of the fourth grade discipline policy and curriculum outline on our Parent Meeting Day.
• Healthy parent-teacher relationship is significant in your child’s education. Remember, we are all working toward the same goal. Please make sure the students are receiving a united message of excellence from the school and home. We- the teachers at St. Walter’s- appreciate your support and cooperation to make this a successful school year as the Lord wants it to be.
