Soccer Season Wraps Up!

The St. Walter 7th and 8th grade soccer team had a great season. They played tough every game and had a pretty impressive record to back it up. Going into the playoffs, the Wildcats’ record was 8 wins, 2 losses, and 2 ties. The playoffs brought two close games against St. Christina and Keller. Despite coming in fourth place, the team played like champions and looks forward to spring soccer. Thanks to all our coaches and dedicated parents for supporting us. We’d also like to thank the Athletic Association for their hard work running the St. Walter Soccer League.

Reading

8th graders may be interviewing parents, relatives, and friends about books. Reading Fahrenheit 451 begs the question, “If you could save only one book, what would it be?” We’ll compare results next week, and they’ll become part of a bulletin board in the front of the room. The responses are always intriguing!

Explore Tests

We will be taking these tests next Tuesday and Wednesday, November 15th and 16th. Please do not be absent! We will continue with after-school test prep on Thursdays until the High School Placement Test in January. These classes start with a short break and go until 4:00 p.m.

Got Magazines?

Before you toss them in the garbage or the recycling bin, send them our way. Mrs. Harris uses them in a variety of art projects and we have to resupply frequently. When we are done with them, we will recycle. Promise!

Art

Speaking of art, there is much on display outside the classroom. Stop by and admire your child’s work. This includes art projects from religion class.
